I am David Crellen …

 … I loved photography and dreaming since childhood      

… and I loved dogs, travel, food and wine since adulthood

… I am also an inventor, entrepreneur, science researcher

I cut my teeth in Boston, MA for my first seventeen years of life. For the next twelve years I enjoyed traveling and working around the world. I then finally grew up - sorta - in San Diego – But I never stopped traveling, working and enjoying life! 

My life had legs – One leg was practical with a sense of responsibility. The other was foot loose and fancy free.. That’s what made my life exciting and adventurous – yet, without killing myself. 

I now work at the intersection of science/technology and communication.

I started in marketing communications during the print media era, managing campaigns in the travel industry. With my background in electronic engineering, I often saw strong technical products struggle in the market due to poor communication. I focused on solving that problem by translating complex engineering concepts into clear, user-friendly messaging. That’s been a key part of my work ever since.

My core technical skill is logic design. I’m good at seeing patterns in scattered information and turning them into practical solutions. Over the years, I’ve applied this ability to both communications strategy and hardware development.

I hope to post stories of my industry-leading inventions sooner or later here on my website.

Additionallly, I have created some of the earliest microprocessr end products and created organizations to manufacture and bring them to market.

One of my most recent and key achievements is designing a microprocessor based on a novel bit-oriented logic system. It can execute encrypted source code without ever decrypting it, making the process secure from attempted side-channel attacks.

This gave me insight into my current research into quantum physics where I see the connection between the macro universe and the micro consciousness where the universe meets the tiny protiens within the neural cells of the brain. This is where I see the neurons and their inner bits computing in the same manner – bit-by-bit.

And that's the story of life.

It's the theory of everything.

I’m now combining my experience in marketing, engineering, product design, and scientific research to explore new directions in the field of physics and quantum science. And, since I enjoy writing to everyont, I am writing my theories in the form of stories you can enjoy.

About my photography: I use the “digital darkroom” to spin my imagination into reality.  Having spent many years using my photographic and digital skills in the commercial world I am now seriously pursuing my lifelong dream of applying this creativity to the visual arts.

My work has been juried into The Art of Digital shows in San Diego.
